WELCOME TO GAME-BASED LEARNING FOR MOTHERS WITH SPECIAL CHILDREN

CO-FUNDED BY THE EUROPEAN UNION

WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THIS PROJECT?

Our project “Game-Based Learning for Mothers with Special Kids” has been created to respond to the needs of mothers who have special children and/or their relatives/caregivers who have individuals with disability nearby them. The main reason of the selection of Gamification methodology is its inclusive and dynamic approach. Gamified learning transforms education from something children find boring into something they enjoy via implementation of the key concepts of game design. It is not the solution for everyone, but it can give children with learning disabilities the motivation, context, and support they need to improve their performance and narrow the achievement gap between them and their peers.

A GUIDE FOR ADULT EDUCATORS

This guide has been prepared to increase the methodological capacity of Adult Educators to apply game-based learning methods in the field of disability. The guide explains how people such as mothers/fathers/carers/family/social workers responsible for the care of individuals with disabilities can create and use tools to increase the Self-Care, Self-Esteem, Health and Physical Movements and Digital Competencies of individuals with disabilities through Gamification and Game-Based Learning methods.
